The 2016-2017 year is coming to a close and another school year in the books. This year was full of surprises, grief, laughter, excitement, and a whole lot of surprises. Here is some encouragement to all grade levels as we get closer to the end of the school year.

Freshmen, you have completed your first year of high school! If you think this year went by fast, your next 3 years will fly by. Sophomore year will be a bit tougher and there will be more projects, too. You’ll also have freshmen looking up to you so make sure to set a wonderful example for future freshmen to follow. You’ll also be taking your last year of gym in the form of Physical Education II. Then after that, gym will no longer be required. Best wishes to you in sophomore year freshmen!

Sophomores, your first half of high school is done, and you’ll begin the second half as a junior. Continue to be the example that future freshmen will follow. You’re halfway done with high school. Don’t give up and continue to maintain your GPA. If sophomore year was disappointing, hopefully junior year will be better for you.

Juniors, can you believe you’re going to be seniors next year? It seemed like yesterday you were freshmen and now you’re one grade level away from being top dogs of the school! Continue to work hard in senior year and finish your high school career with a bang!

Seniors, your high school career is over and it’s now time to (if you choose to) move on to college. This is where you finally get a chance to pursue your dreams. Don’t ever lose sight of them and continue to work hard for what you want in life. Thank you for being role models this school year. I’m going to miss you all and I wish nothing but the best in your future endeavors.

Advice To All

If you’re not where you want to be academically, don’t give up. It’s never too late to change. You have the power to change your future. Don’t wait until it’s too late, the time to act is NOW! Whether you’re in high school or college, I wish you all the best in the future and that you achieve your dreams.
