The Northrop Bruins fell for the fourth game in a row last night to the visiting Noblesville Millers 41-54.

Northrop took control early and ended the first quarter up 19-9. The Millers rallied back to come within 1 going into halftime. Northrop’s Richard Robertson was huge in the first half, scoring 13 points for the Bruins.

The match stayed close through the third quarter. Once the fourth started it was all Noblesville. The Millers scored 22 points in the final quarter while holding Northrop to just 5.

“We’re going to watch some film and get back to the drawing board,” says Northrop assistant coach, Henry Covington. “We have to prepare for Lakewood and take it one game at a time.”

McGwire Plumer, Max Finchum, and Corby Mertens were each in double figures for the Millers, combining for 34 of Noblesville’s 54 points. Robertson led the Bruins and all scorers with 18.

Northrop’s next game is Tuesday, January 17 hosting Lakewood Park.
