The Northrop Bruins showed a lot of heart last night, coming away from their contest with North Side with a 28-21 victory on senior night.

It didn’t look too great for Northrop in the first quarter. Garrett Schoenle threw two early interceptions and the Legends jumped out to a 14-7 lead.

The Bruins came back with two touchdowns in the second quarter and went into the half leading 21-14.

After a scoreless third, North Side tied it up in the fourth with a rushing score from Kendrick Parrish, his second of the game. The Bruins responded with another goal line touchdown run by Antwone Washington. Northrop would hold firm on defense en route to a 28-21 win.

Washington led the Bruins with two scores while Parrish reached the end zone twice for the Legends.

Northrop’s next game is Friday, October 14 at Concordia against Bishop Dwenger.
