Cam Fox is the man at Northrop High School. Everyone knows Cam, whether you know him as “C Fox,” “Foxy,” “Cam Goes Ham,” or just Cameron. His popularity is in large part due to his athletic prowess. Fox is one of the best kicker/punters in the area, and is a dynamic soccer goalie.

“Cameron is a great overall athlete that really could have excelled in any sports he chose to focus on,” said Northrop head football coach, Jason Doerffler.

Fox’s life has been shaped around sports, which has led him to excel in not only one, but two varsity sports.

“Football and soccer mean a lot to me,” says Fox. “The passion I have for both can’t be explained.”

Cam’s dedication to athletics, as well as academics, has given him the opportunity to play and compete at the collegiate level. He plans to attend Marian University where he will play football and study sports management/marketing.

“Cam was always ready to get down to business and kick those balls real far when we needed him,” said Northrop quarterback and Fox’s holder, Garrett Schoenle.

Fox prides himself on his work ethic both on and off the field. When you work as hard as Cam, people take notice.

“He is a very hard worker and one of the more committed athletes I’ve ever been around,” said Doerffler.

Fox’s hard work has definitely paid off. Here is a list of some of his athletic achievements during his time as a Northrop Bruin.

Cam has more than just a knack for athletics. His personality is one of a kind and he gets along with everyone.

“Cam’s a great teammate and always brings people up,” says Bruin soccer player, Nate Dove. “He’s a great friend and is always there for you even if he doesn’t agree with your decisions.”

Fox is also involved in Northrop’s tailgate, “The Den,” and he loves cheering on his Bruin classmates.

“People are drawn to Cameron, and he’s one of those rare students that has the ability to influence so many of his classmates and teammates in a positive way,” said Doerffler.

Fox has really made an impact on Northrop High School, with both his athletic and academic accomplishments.

“All things considered, I believe he’s one of the best student-athletes to come through here since I’ve been at Northrop,” said Doerffler.

Cameron wants to be great. Whether his greatness comes from sports or in the workforce is yet to be known. He’ll open the next chapter in his life and be successful in whatever is thrown his way.

“I want to be remembered as the best teammate and leader as possible,” said Fox.
