New England Patriots vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs come rolling into New England on an 11 game winning streak after destroying a horrible looking Texans team in the wildcard round 30-0. The Patriots have been struggling on offense the past few weeks, but are expecting to get a healthy Julian Edelman back after suffering a broken foot earlier in the year. As much as I want to see the Chiefs win, I can’t see them keeping their win streak alive against New England.

Score: Patriots 24 Chiefs 16

Denver Broncos vs Pittsburgh Steelers

A banged up Steelers team comes traveling into Mile High Stadium to play the number one seeded Broncos. Antonio Brown and DeAngelo Williams have been ruled out, and Big Ben is day to day with torn ligaments in his throwing shoulder and a sprained AC joint. I cannot see this Steelers offense, with all of their stars banged up, putting up enough points against the league’s best defense. Peyton Manning is now back as the starting quarterback for Denver after coming in for relief for Brock Osweiler week 17 against San Diego. He gave Denver’s offense some kind of spark and it will be interesting to see how he fairs in the playoffs. Peyton should be able to do just enough on the offensive side of the ball to get past the Steelers and into the AFC Championship game.

Score: Broncos 27 Steelers 17

Carolina Panthers Vs Seattle Seahawks

The Carolina Panthers enter the postseason with a record of 15-1 and home field advantage with the first round bye. Carolina has been dominant in almost every game this season and have one of the top defenses in the league. The Seahawks got lucky last week with Minnesota’s Blair Walsh missing a game winning field goal. This kept Seattle’s season alive. Cam Newton is having an MVP caliber season and has become an electric dual threat quarterback. The Seahawks allowed 9 points last week, but this time they are facing an offense that has been on fire as of late. That’s why I believe Newton and Carolina’s defense will come out on top.

Score: Panthers 20 Seahawks 10

Arizona Cardinals Vs Green Bay Packers

The Cardinals finished the regular season 14-2 and earned a first round bye for the postseason. The Green Bay Packers beat the Redskins last Sunday in a pretty decisive victory, advancing to square off with the Cardinals. The Packers showed flashes of their old selves, but face a much tougher opponent this time in Arizona. Green Bay’s defense has given up big plays and their offense has also shown to be stagnate at times. The Cardinals feature stars who have experienced the postseason before. Green Bay slipped past an inexperienced Redskins team, but this week they should meet their match.

Score: Cardinals 35 Packers 21
