Bruins Can’t Complete Upset Against North Side

The Northrop Bruins fell just short tonight against the visiting North Side Redskins. Northrop led for the entire first half and went into the locker room ahead 39-32. Richard Robertson and Jagger Surface led the Bruins in scoring at the half with 13 and 12 points respectively.

Northrop increased their lead to 10 after the third quarter. North Side began their comeback in the fourth. The Redskins outscored the Bruins 24-7 in the final quarter, taking the lead in the last three minutes of the game. Northrop couldn’t get anything going and eventually took a tough 63-70 loss.

Robertson led the Bruins in scoring with 25 points. Surface chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds.

Northrop’s next game is Tuesday, January 19 at Lakewood Park.
