Northrop’s defense held tight in the fourth quarter tonight, pulling out a 68-63 win over the Columbia City Eagles.

Jagger Surface lit it up in the first half, scoring 17 points and leading the Bruins to a 3-point lead heading into the locker room.

Northrop extended their lead in the third quarter playing aggressive defense and picking the Eagle’s pockets. Columbia City started a comeback later in the quarter and eventually got within 3 points of Northrop. The Bruins received a huge lift from senior Michael Chapman who hit 2 clutch three pointers. Northrop kept their composure and came out on top 68-63.

Surface once again led the Bruins in scoring with 23. Richard Robertson took his accustomed secondary scoring role scoring 18.

Northrop’s next game is Saturday, December 5 at John Adams.
