The Northrop Bruins took a tough 68-78 loss at New Haven tonight in a close, exciting game.

Richard Robertson had another terrific start for the Bruins, scoring 11 points and leading Northrop to a 21-12 first quarter lead.

New Haven would reduce the gap each quarter and end up with a 10-point victory. Northrop was in serious foul trouble the entire game. Three Bruin starters had to play conservatively in the second half, and each had 4 fouls by the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs took advantage of Northrop’s fouls, going to the free throw line 56 times.

Jagger Surface led the Bruins in scoring again with 27. He also worked hard on the glass, corralling 9 rebounds. Robertson also chipped in 17 points.

Northrop’s next game is Thursday, December 3 at home against Columbia City.
