Northrop’s senior football players took the field at Spuller Stadium for the last time tonight in a losing effort against Concordia.

The Cadets dominated the first quarter, scoring two touchdowns and forcing two interceptions on defense.

The second quarter featured many scores and what looked like a Bruin comeback. Northrop scored three times via the run. Two touchdowns came from running back, Jason Ash, and the other from quarterback, Garrett Schoenle. Concordia added two more scores and went into the half with a 27-20 lead.

Northrop went into halftime with momentum, but came out flat. They never got anything going offensively and didn’t score the rest of the game. Concordia played keep away, ran the clock down, and found the end zone a few more times throughout the remainder of the game.

The Cadets won by a final score of 48-20. Running back, Peterson Kerlegrand had a huge game for Concordia with 236 yards and 4 touchdowns. Jason Ash’s run game was a bright spot for the Bruins. He rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns.

Northrop’s next game is next Friday, October 9 at South Side.
