DSC_0140On March 22, Allure and Charisma competed at the ISSMA State finals. Both groups performed exceptionally well against the top groups in Indiana.

Allure placed 8th in the Large Women’s Division, this ranks them 8th in State of Indiana. Qualifying for State this year was a big accomplishment for Allure, last year they didn’t qualify for State and this year they are ranked 8th in the state. Allure has come a long way this year and their efforts have paid off.

The Women’s results are as follows:

  1. North Central Descants – Indianapolis
  2. Franklin Central High Voltage – Indianapolis
  3. Noblesville New Dimension
  4. Castle Knightingales – Newburgh
  5. Ben Davis Sounds – Indianapolis
  6. Fishers Silver Sound
  7. Carroll Select Sound – Fort Wayne
  8. Northrop Allure – Fort Wayne
  9. Warren Central Hi-Lites – Indianapolis

Charisma placed 8th in the Large Mixed Division as well. This is lower than what they placed last year. The fences Charisma use in their show, for the dark theme, weren’t reading well with one of the judges and their score reflected it. Charisma fought a rough battle this weekend and are now ranked 8th in the State.

The Mixed results are as follows:

  1. Franklin Central FC Singers – Indianapolis
  2. North Central Counterpoints – Indianapolis
  3. Huntington North Varsity Singers – Huntington
  4. Castle Knight Sensations – Newburgh
  5. Ben Davis Premiers – Indianapolis
  6. Carroll Minstrel Magic – Fort Wayne
  7. Avon Accents – Avon
  8. Northrop Charisma – Fort Wayne
  9. Warren Central Connection – Indianapolis

The Show Choir season may be over, but Allure and Charisma still have a few performances left. Both groups will be performing Friday at the Fine Arts Show Case and they will also have their “Senior” Night on May 21.
