Dasari, Joshi Lead Speech Team to 4th Place

On Feb. 8, the Speech Team had their first meet in two months.  The meet was at Munster High School and that meet is the hardest speech meet except for state.  The team did really well receiving fourth place even though the team was the second smallest there.  The individual awards were:

  • Srikiran Dasari received 1st in International Extemporaneous Speaking
  • Urvi Joshi received 1st in United States Extemporaneous Speaking and 10th in Impromptu Speaking
  • Blessing Okendu received 10th in Discussion
  • Caleb Curtis received 9th in Dramatic Interpretation
  • Janae Gerdom received 7th in Radio Speaking
  • Melissa Kizer received 11th in Radio Speaking
  • Lubna Naureen received 8th in Original Oratory
  • Thi Pham received 8th in United States Extemporaneous Speaking
  • Andrew Reigelman received 8th in International Extemporaneous Speaking

Congratulations the entire team. The next meet will be at Carroll High School on Saturday.
