On Tuesday November 18, Northrop’s PTSA won the first School of Excellence award. This award is the first to be given to any school ever.

Our PTSA has 669 members and is still growing. This is group is made up of the parents, students, and teachers association. This group has a tremendous amount of members in it and often they are the unsung heroes. More times than not the PTSA members are overlooked when events are happening at Northrop.

“People say that it takes great leaders to accomplish this, but not at Northrop. It takes everybody doing a little part,” said Kathie Green, co-president of Northrop PTSA.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Alhersmeyer was at the presentation to congratulate our PTSA and to be there for our students and staff members. This award is one of hopefully many that Northrop will receive.
