On Friday November 15, people have the chance to donate blood at school.  You have to be at least 17 years old, and have to weigh at least 110 pounds (Some variations exist, the shorter you are, the more you have to weigh).

Donating blood is a very good thing, as it helps those who need it.  If someone is injured and needs blood, and if there is not enough of their blood type, they will probably die from bleeding too much.   Actually, it only takes about an hour to donate blood and you can probably save about three lives by sitting there for that hour.  People get hurt all the time in traffic accidents and go to the hospital. Often they need blood so they can survive their injuries, and they will only get it if somebody took the time to donate blood thinking “Somebody will need this in the future.”

People who are interested should see Mr. Hollenberg in C203. So come on Bruins, take the few hours out of your morning to save a life!
