Ball State’s Journalism Day: College For A Day

Friday, April 19, 2013, the Newspaper/Yearbook classes traveled to Ball State University for journalism workshops. While the students were there, they had the chance to take three classes throughout the day.

These classes were built to introduce the world of Journalism, Photography, and Public Relations to the students. Not only did the students get to experience college life, but they also got the chance to see if this is a career they would like to pursue. Students were given multiple tips on how to make their newspaper/yearbook better than they already are.

This experience was not only educational, but also uplifting. Ball State University has one of the best Journalism Departments in the mid-west, so the teen’s that attended this event went to the right place. Getting to know the true art of journalism and all it has to hold was truly something unlike any other.
